BONI GYM was founded in 1984 by Ro Dors as a Muay Thai (thai boxing) gym in Amsterdam. The gym was a place of discipline, respect and hard work. A place where world class fighters were bred and everyday people found confidence and balance. It was also a place of peace, a place where mental and physical health came together.

BONI GYM officially closed its doors in Amsterdam in 2009 and the founder continued to teach in his home country Surinam after remigrating. The light of BONI, however, has never dimmed. Ro Dors and his BONI GYM planted many seeds through the years.

Four decades after BONI GYM was founded, the torch is passed down to the next generation. BONI is being reimagined as a martial arts inspired lifestyle brand, as well as a physical gym focused on mental and psychical health.
